Organizers
The Centre for Strategic Analysis and Forecasts (CAiPS) at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, University of Łódź, responds to the growing dynamism of today’s international environment. Our mission is to identify the most pressing challenges and threats in geopolitics and international relations, while creating a platform for open exchange of ideas and forecasts. Each event we organize brings together only the most renowned experts from Poland and abroad. We value open discussion and fresh perspectives, moving away from the rigidity of traditional academic conferences while maintaining the high standards of expert debate. The exchange of views among distinguished participants offers unique insights into diverse perspectives and the complexity of international processes. The conclusions drawn from CAiPS events provide inspiration for effective solutions that strengthen the security of Poland and the wider region in the face of new global challenges.
The Nordic Institute Foundation is an independent platform that brings together interdisciplinary experts united by their focus on Nordic issues. Our mission is to highlight the multidimensional character of the Nordic countries, fostering international cooperation, trade development, and the transfer of best practices and know-how. Strengthening Polish–Nordic relations is in the interest of society as a whole, but also benefits businesses and state institutions. That is why the Foundation is dedicated to providing reliable, in-depth knowledge that supports the integration of the Baltic Sea region. While geographically the Baltic Sea separates these countries, in social, political, economic, and military terms it often feels like an ocean. The Foundation’s mission is to bridge that distance through cooperation and the exchange of expertise.

Conference location
Łódź, located in the very heart of Poland, has always been a meeting place of cultures, ideas, and traditions, and its multicultural heritage continues to inspire openness and diversity today. Although not a port city, its name in English – “boat” – symbolically points toward the sea, serving as a bridge between the inland center of the country and the Baltic Sea basin. This unique combination of central location, historical diversity, and symbolic anchoring in the idea of a shared journey makes Łódź a natural harbor for the International Baltic Security Summit – a place where perspectives and experiences converge to engage in dialogue on the multidimensional security of the region.
